Ms. Lisa Cassanelli

Elementary Guide, Co-Owner

Ms. Lisa, co-owner of Little Flower, leads our Elementary class and has been with Little Flower Montessori School since 2000. In 2010, Ms. Lisa joined Ms. Kim in assuming the leadership of Little Flower. In 2013, her aim of accrediting Little Flower Montessori School with the Association Montessori Internationale became a reality.  At the time, Little Flower was one of only a few Montessori schools in the State of Florida to achieve this objective. Founded by Dr. Montessori, this organization is the oldest recognized authority on Montessori education worldwide. She has had a multitude of professional development experiences and certificates in Montessori pedagogy, leadership, administration, Special Needs in Montessori Education, Orton Gillingham and is certified with Kidding Around Yoga to teach yoga and mindfulness to children. 

Before joining Little Flower, she taught for six years in the Montessori school she attended as a child, just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She got her Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Pennsylvania, and went on to get her AMI training at the 6 to 12 level in Bergamo, Italy in 1994. In 1997, Lisa received her Masters of Education from Cleveland State University.  Ms. Lisa’s interest include writing, beachcombing and yoga.
